摘要: Abstract Objective To determine the concordance between superficial cultures (SC) and quantitative (QC) in diagnosis of wound infection burn patients. Method Sample: All SC QC taken from same patient, site during surgery were analysed. Variables: On SC, microorganism (MO) its amount defined subjectively by microbiologist was recorded (negative, very low, regular abundant). QC, MO expressed as colony forming units per gram tissue (CFUs/g). Statistics: Kappa index agreement beyond chance; Wilcoxon Kruskall-Wallis for continuous variables χ2 categorical used with a p  Results One thousand four hundred forty three pairs analyzed.
