摘要: Using a cadherin fraction from Xenopus tissue culture cells as an immunogen, two monoclonal antibodies were obtained that allowed the characterization of distinct cadherins in embryo. The differ molecular weight, their time appearance during development and spatial pattern expression. One antigens was identified E-cadherin. It appears embryonic ectoderm gastrulation when epidermal differentiation commences it disappears neural plate area upon induction. second antigen could not be allocated to any known subtypes termed U-cadherin. is present egg becomes deposited newly formed inner cell membranes cleavage, outer apical embryo remaining devoid throughout development. U-cadherin found on all up late neurula stages. A conspicuous polarized expression individual suggests its participation segregation layers organ anlagen. These findings are discussed context current hypotheses role establishing structure
