摘要: Abstract Objective To measure the impact of 2009 US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) breast cancer screening recommendation, which recommended against routine for women aged 40 to 49 and stated that there was “insufficient evidence” recommend 75 older, on mammography rates. Methods Self-reported rates were calculated using 2006–2010 Medical Expenditure Panel Surveys (n = 29,857). The paper reports by age group (40 49, 50 74, older), adjusted age, race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, region. study performed at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA 2012. Results Differences between 2010 earlier years not significant. Among 40–49, biennial declined − 0.5 percentage points 2006 (95% confidence interval [CI]: − 3.0 1.9; p = 0.67). 50–74, − 0.07 CI: − 1.8 1.7; p = 0.93). 75 years − 0.1 − 4.2 3.9; p = 0.94). Conclusion revision USPSTF recommendation did affect patterns.
