摘要: The development of uredinia Uromyces rumicis (Schum.) Wint. was studied on Rumex crispus L. and R. obtusifolius plants inoculated in the laboratory. Fewer developed leaves injured by simulated insect herbivory, those fed upon Gastrophysa viridula Degeer (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae), young, incompletely expanded leaves, than uninjured, fully control leaves. effect herbivory leaf age process U. infection investigated using Calcofluor staining epifluorescence microscopy. Simulated reduced significantly proportion sporelings producing appressoria with that entered substomatal cavity. In obtusifolius, injury also penetration hyphae formed vesicles. produced intercellular 58 % 89 obtusifolius. G. feeding induced similar resistance both uredinial density area occupied between 65% 89%. Injury had a greater pre-haustorial stages development. However, total young 42% 78% compared to mature owing lower and, significant reduction size individual uredinia.
