摘要: Mitogen-inducible gene 6 (MIG-6) is located in human chromosome 1p36, a locus frequently associated with lung cancer. MIG-6 negative regulator of epidermal growth factor (EGF) signaling, and we show that Mig-6 - like EGF induced by hepatocyte factor/scatter (HGF/SF) cancer cell lines. Frequently, the receptors for both factors, EGFR Met, are expressed same line, factors mitogen-activated protein kinase-dependent fashion. However, not all tumor lines express response to either or HGF/SF. In these cases, find missense nonsense mutations coding region, as well evidence transcriptional silencing. Moreover, germline disruption mice leads development animals epithelial hyperplasia, adenoma, adenocarcinoma organs lung, gallbladder, bile duct. These data suggests tumor-suppressor therefore candidate frequent 1p36 genetic alterations found
