摘要: In the Aegean Islands, continued availability of freshwater resources is fundamental concern. This study analyzes system for Island Lesvos by simultaneously conceptualizing various issues surrounding it using vulnerability assessment as a quantitative tool. The endpoint approach to was applied developing numerical expression based on set 25 and qualitative indicators; indicators were identified proxies reflect conspicuous inconspicuous water Island. addition, concurrent visualization carried out plotting radar charts. indicated that Lesvian hydrogeological has significant vulnerabilities emanating from both natural anthropogenic pressures in addition poor adaptive capacity counter perturbations; this corroborated composite index which calculated be 0.69. Based analysis results, priority management targets existing optimization tools, authors propose framework could aid development an effective methodology addressing problems resource management; couples with assessment. proposed may represent tool identification better solutions management–decision and/or provide important insights during decision making similar environments.
