摘要: Abstract Collagen VI expression was studied in cultured human skin fibroblasts and mouse 3T3 cells using cDNA probes specific for alpha 1(VI), 2(VI), 3(VI) chains. A 2-3-fold increase of these mRNAs observed when were grown at increasing densities while only minimal changes occurred the mRNA levels collagens I III, fibronectin, beta-actin. Changes correlated well with an increased production corresponding proteins as determined by immunological assays. comparable 1(VI) 2(VI) but not chain found a three-dimensional collagen gel after contraction. These conditions resulted, however, decrease steady-state III actin mRNAs. Transformation phorbol ester did change caused 3-5-fold reduction other extracellular matrix proteins. data strongly imply different regulatory mechanisms compared fibronectin. The differences may be to cell shape reflect requirement cell-binding protein.
