摘要: BACKGROUND CD4 + T helper 17 (Th17) cells play critical roles in inflammation and tumor development. The involvement of Th17 chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)-type inflammation-associated lung cancer has also been confirmed animal models. However, to the authors' knowledge, it is unknown whether role different patients with complicated COPD compared those without COPD. In current study, authors attempted determine association between circulating levels Th17-related cytokines clinical characteristics non–small cell (NSCLC) or COPD. METHODS The designed a matched case-control study that included 70 NSCLC COPD, 148 healthy controls. data regarding clinicopathological features these participants were collected. Circulating cytokines, including interleukin (IL) 23 (IL-23), IL-17A, IL-17F, IL-22, necrosis factor-α, measured. RESULTS The IL-23, factor-α found be significantly higher controls (P<.05). elevated associated risk no significant differences It interesting note that, among consistently stage I IIIA IIIB IV addition, 5 demonstrated pairwise correlations, Spearman rank correlation coefficients 0.646 0.888 (P<.05). CONCLUSIONS The results indicate clear cytokine profile by presence absence Cancer 2015;121:3122-9. © 2015 American Society.
