摘要: The frequency of antrum-type mucosa and gastrin expression in gastric biopsies from the incisura angularis was assessed 60 consecutive patients having gastrointestinal symptoms. Following recommendations updated Sydney System for classification grading gastritis, two were taken antrum, one corpus. Sections stained with H&E, Giemsa gastrin. Gastrin-positive cells semi-quantified as: 0 (none), /=50 gastrin-labelled cells/40x field. Antrum-type at (called antralization) occurred 30% without inflammation, but 69% those H. pylori-induced 64% autoimmune gastritis. At incisura, (>/=10) found 62% (18/29) showing antralization, only 20% (3/15) transitional-type (p<0.05) none 16 fundic-type mucosa. similarity between antrum antral-type substantiates notion that antralization is a metaplastic transformation. significantly higher gastritis than strongly suggests chronic inflammation per se triggers irrespective presence or absence pylori infection.
