摘要: In recent decades, many attempts have been made to restore eutrophic lakes through biomanipulation. Reducing the populations of planktivorous and benthivorous fish (either directly or stocking piscivorous fish) may induce ecosystem changes that increase water transparency decrease risk algal blooms kills, at least in short term. However, generality biomanipulation effects on quality across lake types geographical regions is not known. Therefore, we undertaken a systematic review such temperate throughout world. Searches for literature were using online publication databases, search engines, specialist websites bibliographies reviews. Search terms developed English, Danish, Dutch Swedish. Identified articles screened relevance inclusion criteria set out an priori protocol. To reduce bias, then critically appraised combined evidence found each Data extracted outcomes as Secchi depth chlorophyll concentration before, during and/or after manipulation, effect modifiers properties amounts removed stocked. Our searches identified more than 14,500 articles. After screening relevance, 233 them remained. exclusions based critical appraisal, our base included useful data 128 biomanipulations 123 lakes. Of these interventions, 85% had Europe 15% North America. Meta-analysis showed removal planktivores benthivores (with without piscivore stocking) leads increased decreased intervention first three years afterwards. Piscivore alone has no significant effect. The response levels stronger where intense, which are small high pre-manipulation concentrations total phosphorus. improves previous reviews large number case studies from parts world used consistent, repeatable process screen susceptibility bias. results indicate means improving Biomanipulation tends be particularly successful relatively with retention times phosphorus levels. More thorough increases efficacy Nonetheless successes failures occurred wide range conditions.
