摘要: Abstract In this work, the effects of an internal electric field (a direct current) on crystallization hen egg-white lysozyme were investigated. The was carried out in solution and gel placed a cell. This growth cell has two parallel Pt electrodes (0.2 mm diameter 15 mm length), those contact with media. A current 2.0 μA applied (1.9×10 −3 V) for 8 h 12 h During crystallization, no generation gas observed. Lysozyme crystals appeared only around cathode (negatively charged electrode), while amorphous precipitation observed anode (positively electrode). By applying current, number deposited significantly decreased, consequently size increased. also decreased induction time nucleation. No significant change pH during crystallization. deposition decrease can be explained by opposite polarity molecules interactions between Cl − vicinity electrodes. Electric potential generated would responsible crystals.
