摘要: Abstract This work introduces a new approach for the evaluation of numerical methods used in calculating Weibull parameters prediction wind resource. In this evaluation, power is key issue since it proves to be quite relevant predicting feasibility given site efficient use energy. Previous knowledge such information important decision process on technical installing industrial farms. The paper performed statistical analysis seven mathematical estimate shape parameter k and scaling c distribution. Wind speed data collected two coastal cities (Icapui Camocim), State Ceara, northeast region Brazil were used. development research are graphical method, maximum likelihood modified empirical moment energy pattern factor method equivalent method. Comparative efficiency accuracy involves application following tests: variance ( R 2 ), root mean square error RMSE chi-square X ). as evaluated study by analyzing distribution, something different from what has been discussed literature, indicates that which well when comparison can change position ranked power. It emphasize values calculated directly (not speed, usual), subsequently was statistically tested adequacy presented results indicate generated scale provided differences considering databases formed power, namely produced accurate submitted tests.
