摘要: Single pyramidal cells of the CA3 region hippocampus receive synaptic inputs from two distinct pathways (commissural and mossy fiber) which both exhibit long term potentiation (LTP), but only commissural LTP is blocked by an NMDA antagonist. Brief tetanization to neighboring synapses fails potentiate fiber does inputs. Thus express fundamentally different forms plasticity.
