摘要: Gastric adenocarcinoma is the second leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. Infection with Helicobacter pylori strongest recognized risk factor for gastric adenocarcinoma. This bacterial species colonizes stomach more than half world's population; however, only a very small proportion infected subjects develop H. causes chronic gastritis that may last decades, and multistep precancerous process most frequent histologic type adenocarcinoma: intestinal type. The severity long-term outcome this infection modulated by an increasing list bacterial, host, environmental factors, which interplay in complex manner. Identification individuals at high cancer enter surveillance program intervention during suitable strategy decreasing due to malignancy.
