摘要: Purpose: The present study was aimed at clarifying the expression of astrocyte elevated gene-1 ( AEG-1 ), one target genes oncogenic Ha-ras, in breast cancer and its correlation with clinicopathologic features, including survival patients cancer. Experimental Design: normal epithelial cells, cell lines, four cases paired primary tumor tissue examined using reverse transcription-PCR Western blot. Real-time applied to determine mRNA level tissues, each from same subject. Furthermore, protein analyzed 225 clinicopathologically characterized immunohistochemistry. Statistical analyses were test for prognostic diagnostic associations. Results: blot showed that markedly higher lines than cells both levels. levels significantly up-regulated by up 35-fold tumors comparison patient. Immunohistochemical analysis revealed high 100 (44.4%) paraffin-embedded archival biopsies. a significant clinical staging P = 0.001), as well classification 0.004), node 0.026), metastasis 0.001). Patients had shorter overall time, whereas lower better survival. Multivariate suggested might be an independent indicator Conclusions: Our results suggest is valuable marker progression.
