摘要: Purpose: Markers of somatic mutation such as p16 and p53 remain controversial prognostic indicators for patients with squamous cell carcinoma the head neck (SCCHN). The relationship between protein expression radiation therapy is also unclear. Experimental Design: We made a prospective cohort study ( n = 171) incident cases receiving standardized SCCHN. Results: Patients whose tumors showed increased had over twice risk all-cause mortality after 550 days [hazard ratio (HR), 2.7; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.07–6.66] three times dying from cancer-specific causes (HR, 3.09; CI, 1.15–8.30) adjustment age, therapy, stage. Tumors demonstrating alteration both did not confer any additional diagnostic information alone. expressed levels received were almost more likely to die compared those who but express age stage 2.6; 1.03–6.50). Conclusions: was found violate proportional hazards assumption our cohort, which may explain ability this in literature. expression, related poor survival general men women. In addition, an interaction demonstrated. Additional studies are needed confirm extend results.
