摘要: Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) involves the upper aerodigestive tract can destroy structure function of organs involved in voice, speech, taste, smell hearing, as well vital structures necessary for survival. HNSCC has long been a treatment challenge because high rate recurrences advanced disease at time diagnosis. Molecular identification tissue biomarkers diagnostic biopsy specimens may not only identify patients risk developing but also select that benefit from more aggressive modalities. Several studied to date such proteins p53, cyclin D1, p16, Cox-2 enzyme, epidermal growth factor vascular endothelial receptors, matrix metalloproteinases Fhit marker genomic instability could be manipulated therapeutic these patients. This review presents most updated information on molecular with greatest prognostic potential discusses some factors contribute controversy concerning their importance.
