摘要: Abstract A respiration–diffusion model for ‘Conference’ pears was used to simulate three-dimensional internal O 2 and CO concentration profiles intact as a function of the storage conditions. Although skin major barrier gas transport, gradients in fruit could not be neglected. Especially at high temperatures, when respiration rate is high, increased considerably. sensitivity analysis carried out assess effect biological variability present on diffusion parameters, profiles. It found that room temperature, underneath mainly determined by transfer coefficient consumption rate. However, typical temperatures this dependency less pronounced. comparison simulated contours stored with delayed controlled atmosphere those immediately under (CA), illustrated importance an appropriate management right after harvest. When CA applied harvest, concentrations reached very low values, respectively, possibly causing irreversible membrane damage inducing core breakdown. These values were atmosphere. validation experiment affected indicated parameters tissue different from healthy tissue.
