摘要: Objectives Orthostatic tremor is a rare condition characterised by high-frequency that appears on standing. Although the essential clinical features of orthostatic are well established, little known about natural progression disorder. We report long-term outcome based largest multicentre cohort patients with tremor. Methods Clinical information 68 and electrophysiological diagnosis minimum follow-up 5 years presented. Results There was clear female preponderance (76.5%) mean age onset at 54 years. Median 6 years (range 5–25). On diagnosis, 86.8% presented isolated 13.2% had additional neurological features. At follow-up, seven who initially later developed further signs. A total 79.4% reported worsening symptoms. These significantly longer symptom duration than those without (median 15.5 vs 10.5 years, respectively; p=0.005). no change in frequency over time. Structural imaging largely unremarkable dopaminergic neuroimaging (DaTSCAN) normal 18/19 cases. Pharmacological treatments were disappointing. Two treated surgically showed improvement. Conclusions progressive disorder increased disability although unchanged In most cases, represents an syndrome. Drug unsatisfactory but surgery may hold promise.
