摘要: Parenteral iron therapy is indicated in patients with iron-deficiency anemia associated conditions that interfere the ingestion or absorption of oral iron. Replacement doses required to replenish stores are based on body weight and observed hemoglobin value. Methods administering dextran reviewed, including intramuscular intravenous injections undiluted drug, infusion a diluted preparation, as an addition parenteral nutrition solutions. The overall incidence adverse reactions administration low, but potential for anaphylactic reaction requires initial test dose be given followed by careful patient observation.
