Sequence and expression of the rat prodynorphin gene

摘要: Abstract We report here the isolation of a lambda genomic clone that contains nucleotide sequence coding for main exon rat prodynorphin (proenkephalin B) gene. This codes majority translated region mRNA including opioid peptides alpha-neo-endorphin, dynorphin A, and B. The entire 3' untranslated is also contained on clone. Nucleotide comparison with human gene reveals both structural homology. RNA blot analysis transcripts can be seen in numerous regions brain adrenal gland, spinal cord, testis, anterior pituitary.
