摘要: The carcinological fauna of the Gironde estuary (south-western France) includes eight species Decapoda Natantia belonging to three different faunistic categories. Palaemon longirostris is a typically estuarine prawn, range which extends over some 130 kilometres from Pointe de Grave Cadillac (Garonne River). main morphological characters this are described: rostral shape, structure antennae 1 and mandibular palp, relative length segments pereiopod 2. In area, diet adults consists local Mysidacea: Neomysis integer upstream, Mesopodopsis slabberi downstream. estuary, mysis larvae found late June July; their density higher downstream near banks than upstream. During metamorphosis, larval stages migrate favoured by existence residual bottom currents in same direction.
