摘要: The importance of non-linear free-surface effects on potential flow past two-dimensional submerged bodies is investigated by the use higher-order perturbation theory. A consistent second-order solution for general body shapes derived. comparison between experimental data and theory presented waves wave resistance a foil-shaped body. agreement good in theory, while linear shown to be inadequate predicting drag at relatively small submergence treated here. It also shown, including third-order freesurface effects, how breaks down low speeds.
