摘要: The physiological role of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is not well understood, but studies suggest positive effects on subjective health and bone metabolism. We have conducted a clinical trial with DHEA replacement in adrenal failure the primary aim evaluating status sexuality. Thirty-nine women were randomized to 9 months treatment 25 mg (n = 19) or placebo 20). Treatment assessed by validated questionnaires yielded wide variation scales, which different from placebo. Almost all patients receiving obtained normal androgen levels. Eighty-nine percent experienced side-effects, particular increased sweat odor scalp itching. did significantly change levels blood lipids, IGF-I, markers In conclusion, we do find evidence beneficial sexuality failure. However, may be for subgroups failure, these remain identified. Premenopausal can restored daily most female patients, side-effects are frequent.
