摘要: The present evidence that the APT proton linac design will meet its goal of low beam loss operation. conclusion has three main bases: (1) extrapolation from understanding performance 800-MeV LANSCE at Los Alamos, (2) theoretical dominant halo-forming mechanism in accelerator physics models and multiparticle simulations, (3) conservative approach key principles underlying linac, which are aimed minimizing halo providing large apertures to reduce a very value.
