摘要: Ecological and Economic Zoning (EEZ) is a Land Use Planning (LUP) methodology that aims at defining separate areas for productive uses conservation. EEZ designed as method balances different interests it devises land use policy through stakeholder participation, technical expertise GIS modelling. The article presents the case study of in Cajamarca, Peru to analyse LUP process situation conflicting over future water use. Cajamarca department with rich gold deposits headwater catchment area upstream city Cajamarca. During last decade, rural communities urban populations have continuously protested against opening new open pit mines, they fear this will affect their supply. Therefore, became part controversy between powerful pro-mining coalition led by central government conservation regional government. We conclude these circumstances, cannot, technically or politically, accommodate values attributed catchment.
