摘要: Background: Cardiovascular mortality is increased in patients with ankylosing spondylitis. A possible explanation might be a more prevalent atherogenic lipid profile spondylitis than the general population. It has been postulated that inflammation deteriorates profile, thereby increasing cardiovascular risk. Objective: To explore association between disease activity and Methods: Disease parameters for levels (total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDLc) triglycerides) were measured 45 6 months after starting treatment leflunomide or placebo. Findings this group compared those 10 treated etanercept. specialised regression model, adjusting repeated measurements, age sex, was used to assess influence of variables on levels. Results: Multilevel analyses showed significant associations levels—for instance, an increase 30 mm at end first hour erythrocyte sedimentation rate associated decrease about 6% total level 11% HDLc Similar found other Conclusion: Increase decreases The tended almost twice as large levels, resulting profile. Hence, effective may lower risk by improving
