摘要: The role of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) replication in the control synthesis deoxycytidylate (dCMP) deaminase and lysozyme Bacillus subtilis infected with bacteriophage 2C has been studied. These phage-induced enzymes are synthesized at different times during latent period. It was shown by actinomycin inhibition that formation late enzyme (lysozyme) required messenger ribonucleic (mRNA) de novo after initiation translation mRNA which specifies early function (dCMP deaminase). phage DNA mitomycin C prevented only when added before onset replication, but it did not affect or action dCMP any time Treatment cells had reached 8 to 10% its maximal rate resulted production normal amounts lysozyme. observations suggest specifying can be transcribed from parental (and probably also progeny) DNA, whereas functional messengers progeny DNA.
