Plasma-selenium, glutathione peroxidase in erythrocytes and mercury in plasma in patients allegedly subject to oral galvanism.

摘要: Twelve patients with subjective symptoms, ascribed by the themselves to mercury released from dental restorations, were investigated. In addition a general examination following parameters registered: total number of amalgam surfaces in mouth; potential and polarization existing accessible metallic restorations for calculation intraoral currents. As regards highest calculated current each individual there was statistically significant difference between patient group control consisting 12 persons. An analysis amount selenium, glutathione-peroxidase blood showed no differences group. However, positive correlation could be seen plasma-mercury level controls pooled together. The numerous other analyzed did not reveal any groups.
