摘要: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) has been associated with an abnormal lipid profile. Our aim was to study the interplay between oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL), adiponectin, and blood lipids lipoproteins in Portuguese patients CKD under hemodialysis (HD); influence of pentanucleotide repeat polymorphism apolipoprotein(a) (apo [a]) gene upon lipoprotein(a) (Lp[a]) levels these patients. We studied 187 HD 25 healthy individuals. ox-LDL adiponectin were measured using enzyme-linked immunoassays. Apo(a) genotyping performed by polymerase chain reaction, followed electrophoresis polyacrylamide gel. Compared controls, presented significantly higher Lp(a), ox-LDL/low-density cholesterol (LDLc) ratio; lower total (TC), LDLc, apo A-I, B, ox-LDL, TC/high-density (HDLc) ratio also observed. Similar changes observed for or without statin therapy, as compared except Lp(a). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that body mass index, HDLc, time on HD, triglycerides (TG) independent determinants levels, TG LDLc concentration. Concerning apo(a) genotype, homozygous (TTTTA)8/8 repeats most prevalent (50.8%). A raised proportion LDL particles are Adiponectin almost doubled its values seems be important determinant HDLc improving profile alleles a number repetitions more frequent
