摘要: Recently, the endocrine activity of adipose tissue cells has been intensively studied. In effect, a wide range exported secretory proteins, dubbed adipokines, have identified as constituents proteome (adipokinome). Besides their effects on glucose and energy metabolism, adipokines are potent modulators inflammation. This chapter provides state-of-the-science review adipokine-mediated paracrine signaling that may be implicated in pathogenesis inflammation-related diseases such atherosclerosis, thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy, breast cancer. We also point out possible contribution tissue-associated mast cell to development these diseases. Finally, we provide arguments for yin-yang (protective vs pathogenic) roles hypothesis further novel drug targets adipopharmacology inflammatory
