摘要: We present a model to predict the size of droplets dripping into an immiscible flowing fluid in glass capillary microfluidic devices. Despite complex flow behavior confined geometry devices, we find that can be accurately predicted by simple analytic expression based on ratio shear and interfacial forces acting droplet surface, also known as Capillary number. show data obtained for wide range properties conditions including single multiple events other experimental previously reported literature quantitatively described using one universal value critical number leading rupture.
