摘要: Abstract Hydrogen ion balance in endogenous lactic add acidosis was studied the elasmobranch Scyliorhinus stellaris (L.) stimulated to exhaustion by electric shocks. After 6 8 h of recovery arterial blood lactate reached its maximum value, whereas pH and bicarbonate were approaching resting values, leading an excess respect H + ions buffered amounting 16 meq/L on average. Determination excretion into water measurement titration acidity closed, but aerated fish tank showed that mean rate elimination water, 0.4 meq/h per kg body weight, too small account for H+ missing balance. Moreover, unstimulated control excreted at a similar rate. These results suggest least part ions, obligatorily produced with lactate, not retained tissues.
