摘要: Immediate interventions for a range of health concerns are increasingly being delivered online due to their ease access and potential attract new treatment cohorts. This paper describes the development implementation national Australian real time chat email service problem gambling. Between September 2009 2011, over 85,000 people visited Gambling Help Online. In addition, 1,722 engaged in with trained gambling counsellors, while 299 accessed support program. Almost 70 % accessing these programs were seeking first time, contacts significantly more likely be seekers (78.0 %) compared clients (68.1 %). Chat male than female aged under 40 years, clients, still highly by young males, often years. These initial findings suggest that counselling provides an important alternate mode delivery, which is attractive seekers. Further research required determine efficacy impact this type on long-term outcomes.
