摘要: Rice Bran Oil (RBO) has got many health benefits. RBO been analyzed for physico-chemical characteristics and compared with those of groundnut oil (GNO). The two oils were similar in various physicochemical characteristics. major difference the lay amount unsaponifiable matter, which was higher case RBO. To find vivo antioxygenic potential RBO, particularly its ability to protect against oxidative stress, rats divided into groups 10 animals, each maintained on diets containing or GNO a period 4 weeks. After stress induced half animals group by administering intraperitoneally N-nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA) (100 mg/kg) body weight remaining served as respective controls. Animals sacrified 1 week after induction. Intraperitoneal administration NDEA resulted significant reduction feed intake, effect being appreciably less fed group. toxicity mainly reflected liver supported increased activities enzymes function test (AST, ALT, ALP) induction but lesser degree urea levels also lipid peroxidation (LPO) erythrocytes all tissues, increase except kidneys. Stress decreased catalase (CAT) activity, decrease peroxidase (Px) activity more had no superoxide-dismutase (SOD) heart where it Thus, appears that inclusion diet improves stress.
