摘要: Use of exogenous gonadotropin to induce ovulation may be associated with reduced fertility resulting from excessive follicular stimulation. To investigate this problem further a superovulatory dose 40 lU PMSG was administered 29-day-old rats at 0800-0900 h on Day -2 (see text footnote 4) the experiment (SOV animals). Control received 4 PMSG, which induces physiological number ovulations followed by normal pregnancy. A volume antiserum (a/s) known inhibit completely ovarian and uterine weight increasing capacity IU injected i.p. 1800 0 50% SOy group a/s Females were then caged mature fertile males overnight, examined for evidence mating 1, sacrificed 1030-1230 Days 1-5. Tissue blood collected steroid analyses, oviducts uteri flushed determine location embryos. Animals receiving had higher embryo recovery 5 compared SOV animals. On mean 10.5 embryos recovered animals 8.2 in control 2.4 most no whereas following all pregnant majority uterus. In uterus 5. Serum progesterone levels 3-4-fold controls, but unchanged administration a/s, estradiol-17i3 both serum ovaries drastically close those observed within 18 a/s. These results suggest that early loss after superovulation result, least part, estrogen Secretion, probably arising remaining follicles. This could occur through stimulation either oviductal or environments both.
