摘要: Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) is an inflammatory cytokine that serves many roles in inflammation and immunity; however, it also involved carcinogenesis. This a review of the clinical experimental data published on MIF its role various types cancers such as glioblastomas, lung cancer, breast gastric melanoma, bladder head neck cancers. The goal this to show MIFs Data overexpressed these malignancies humans, contributes deregulation cell cycle, angiogenesis, metastasis. Clinical studies overexpression tumors significantly decreases survival rate, increases tumor aggression. There are multiple anti-MIF molecules currently being explored investigations should be continued.
