摘要: Abstract The denitrifier Pseudomonas perfectomarina reduced nitrite under conditions of kinetic competition between cells and gas sparging for extracellular dissolved nitric nitrous oxides, NOaq N2Oaq, in a chemically defined marine medium. Time courses reduction NOg N2Og alpha removal were integrated to give yields. At high rates, the yield was greater than 50% nitrite-N reduced, + approximately 75%. Hence interrupted denitrification yields N2Oaq as major products. varied with rates agreement quantitative model (Betlach, M. P., Tiedje, J.M. (1981) Appl. Environ. Microbiol. 42, 1074-1084) that applies simplified Michaelis-Menten kinetics NO2-----NOaq----N2Oaq----N2. fit gave an estimate maximum scavengeable 73 +/- 8% nitrite-N. Thus minor path independent is also required. data at lower where normal products predominate, implies pool rate. P. are intermediates, or facilely equilibrate true during complete denitrification. recovery most NO and/or N2O perturbed not artifact irreversible product removal, but attribute this species, probably it characteristic other species well.
