摘要: Policosanol is a natural product, obtained from sugar cane wax (Saccharum officinarum L.) with which cholesterol-lowering effects have been demonstrated in experimental models, healthy volunteers and hypercholesterolemic patients. The of policosanol on venous arterial thrombosis rats were investigated. (25 mg/kg) significantly decreased the thrombus weight, protective effect persisting until 4 h after its oral administration. mg/kg single dose) was able to reduce rectal temperature variation induced by thrombosis. Also at same dose increased 6-keto-PGF1 alpha serum levels rats.
