Prognostic value of microvascular density and expression of VEGF, EGFR and HIF-1α in patients with locally advanced cervical cancer treated with chemoradiation (ONCOLGroup)§

摘要: Resumen Introduccion: en Colombia el carcinoma de cuello uterino representa la segunda causa muerte por cancer entre las mujeres. Objetivo: describir valor pronostico densidad microvascular (DMV) y ex-presion proteica varios genes relacionados con supervivencia proliferacion del cervix localmente avanzado tratado quimiorradiacion/braquiterapia intracavitaria. Se estimaron tasa respuesta global (TRG), libre progresion (SLP) (SG). Resultados: se incluyeron 61 mujeres una edad media 52 ± 10 anos; todas tenian diagnostico (IIA 2.3%/IIB 47.5%/IIIA 4.9%/IIIB 37.7%/IVA 3.3%/no definido 3.3%), un volumen tumoral promedio 6.4cm (DE± 1.8cm) e infeccion VPH 46% los casos; 58 sujetos (95%) patron escamoso, dos fueron adenocarcinomas >50% presentaba neoplasias moderada o pobremente diferenciadas. Todas tratadas quimiorradiacion (interrupcion transitoria teleterapia toxicidad otras causas 19 21.4%, respectivamente/media ciclos platino concomitante 4.8 series 1.0) braquiterapia (77% completaron tratamiento intracavitario). La mediana para SLP fue 6.6 meses (4.0-9.1) 30 (11-48), respectivamente. Ninguna variables tuvo efecto sobre SLP, mientras analisis multivariado demostro que niveles expresion VEGF (p=0.026), EGFR (p=0.030), <6 cm (p=0.02) influyeron este desenlace.
