摘要: Resistance to carbapenems in Enterobacteriaceae, including Klebsiella pneumoniae, represents a major clinical problem given the lack of effective alternative antibiotics. Bacteriophages could provide valuable tool control dissemination antibiotic resistant isolates, for decolonization colonized individuals and treatment purposes. In this work, we have characterized lytic bacteriophage, named vB_Kpn_F48, specific K. pneumoniae isolates belonging clonal group 101. Phage vB_Kpn_F48 was classified as member Myoviridae, order Caudovirales, on basis transmission electron microscopy analysis. Physiological characterization demonstrated that showed narrow host range, short latent period, low burst size it is highly stable both temperature pH variations. High throughput sequencing bioinformatics analysis revealed phage by 171 Kb dsDNA genome lacks genes undesirable therapeutic perspective such integrases, resistance toxin encoding genes. Phylogenetic suggests T4-like bacteriophage which belongs novel genus within Tevenvirinae subfamily, tentatively "F48virus". Considering genomic features overall physiological parameters be promising candidate used alone or cocktails therapy applications.
