摘要: Electrical conductivity measurements were performed with thin (50 μ) single crystals of p‐terphenyl, p‐quaterphenyl, and anthracene supplied aqueous electrodes, one which was an iodine‐iodide solution (acceptor electrode), the other iodide solution. The results strongly indicate that acceptor electrode can form ohmic contact for hole injection into these space‐charge‐limited currents be drawn through them. found to contain hole‐trapping states location‐in‐energy approximated by a decreasing exponential distribution above valence band. showed mobility in p‐terphenyl is about 3×10−2 cm2/v sec, independent field at least up 4×104 v/cm, hole‐trap concentration 1013 cm−3. used does not naphthalene diphenyl; explanation this proposed.
