摘要: Schaedler agar (SA) and Trypticase soy-yeast extract (TSYEA), both supplemented with rabbit blood (5%, v/v) menadione (0.5 mg/liter), were compared respect to quantitative recovery, quality of growth, rapidity growth selected anaerobic bacteria. The media stored for 2 4 days prior use in an glove box, where all subsequent bacteriological procedures performed. After 24 hr incubation, colonies Clostridium cadaveris (C. capitovale), C. haemolyticum, novyi A, perfringens larger on SA than TSYEA, the appearance B at antedated their TSYEA. Quantitative recovery was improved SA; other clostridia tested comparable two (inconclusive results obtained A). Rough colonial types some emerged SA. No appreciable differences noted Bacteroides fragilis, B. melaninogenicus, or Fusobacterium fusiforme.
