Metamaterials and photonic crystals – potential applications for self-organized eutectic micro- and nanostructures

摘要: Recently in the field of photonics two new approaches for novel materials appeared. These are photonic crystals and metamaterials. In this paper definition, methods manufacturing and applications these are discussed as well potentials self-organized eutectic micro- nanostructures such optical applications. Examples eutectic structures grown by micro-pulling down method presented.
