摘要: It has been proposed that testicular descent is controlled indirectly by androgens acting on the central nervous system to mediate migration of gubernaculum scrotum. Accumulating evidence suggests genitofemoral nerve may release a newly described neurotransmitter, calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) stimulate gubernacular motility during migration. This study aimed determine whether exogenous CGRP could in mice with complete androgen resistance (testicular feminization mouse [Tfm]). was injected into right groin neonatal Tfm at 2-day intervals until 2 weeks age, when length processus vaginalis measured under dissecting microscope. The normal male littermates 5.9 +/- 1.8 mm (mean SD) while female it 1.2 0.9 mm. Exogenous had no effect either these. In males caused significant increase side (2.3 0.8 mm) compared uninjected (1.4 1.0 mm). These results are consistent hypothesis can replace, least partially,
