摘要: Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) is today the reference method for direct identification microorganisms in diagnostic laboratories, as it notably time- and cost-efficient. In context increasing cases enteric diseases with emerging multi-drug resistance patterns, there an urgent need to adopt efficient workflow characterize antimicrobial (AMR). Current approaches, such antibiograms, are time-consuming directly impact "patient-physician" workflow. Through this mini-review, we summarize how detection specific patterns by MALDI-TOF MS, well bioinformatics, become more essential research, these approaches will help diagnostics future. Along same lines, idea export precise biomarker steps MALDI-TOF(/TOF) MS data towards AMR pipelines discussed. The study also critically points out that currently still a lack research knowledge on different foodborne pathogens several antibiotics families macrolides quinolones, many questions remaining. Finally, innovative combination whole-genome sequencing could be soon future diagnosis pathogens.
