摘要: Cumulative inactivation of tumor suppressor genes and/or amplification oncogenes lead to progressively more malignant astrocytic tumors. We have analyzed the significance p53, p21, p16 and retinoblastoma protein (pRb) proliferative activity for survival in 77 high grade After operation, patients--25 anaplastic astrocytomas (AA) 52 glioblastomas (GBs)--were treated with similar radiotherapy. The expression were immunohistochemically. p53 immunopositivity was found 44% AAs 46% GBs. Tumors aberrant had lower proliferation indices than immunonegative Neither nor p21 immunonegativity (52% 48% GBs) correlated survival. immunostaining negative 16% GBs, it inversely both uni- multivariate analyses. pRb only 8% GBs absence mutually exclusive. Ki-67 labelling index (LI) significantly higher (26.8%) (20.3%), analysis an independent prognostic factor In LI exceeded 20% this subset prognosis as GB. tumors indicator poor addition previously established patient's age, histopathology LI. Furthermore, there a rate (> 20%) which histopathological hallmarks GB lacking, but similarly dismal
