摘要: Abstract Background and aims The consumption of fried foods is believed to be linked with obesity higher weight gain, however, the evidence from long-term randomized trials or prospective epidemiological studies scarce. Therefore, aim our study was prospectively evaluate association between change incidence overweight/obesity in a Mediterranean cohort. Methods results Prospective cohort 9850 men women mean age 38.1 years (SD 11.4) were followed-up for median 6.1 assess average yearly body weight, overweight/obesity. associated but differences small magnitude statistically non-significant. during follow-up also assessed subset 6821 participants initial mass index 2 (initially free overweight/obesity), after adjusting potential confounders, odds ratio developing among who consumed >4 times/week 1.37 (95% confidence interval: 1.08 1.73) comparison those p trend = 0.02). Conclusion In this cohort, more frequent at baseline risk subsequently follow-up.
