摘要: Detection of t(14;18)(q32;q21)–IgH/bcl-2, which is present in 70% to 95% follicular lymphomas (FLs), might aid diagnosing FL. The efficacy routine polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and fluorescence situ hybridization (FISH) techniques detecting t(14;18) paraffin-embedded tissue samples was compared on 5 normal tonsils 28 FLs demonstrated be t(14;18)+ by previous karyotyping. There technical failure 14 (50%) the PCR, likely due B-5 fixation, 4 (14%) FISH, advanced specimen age. In remaining successful cases, (36%) were positive PCR 24 (100%) FISH. All negative both methods. FISH superior for from paraffinembedded because it more sensitive equally specific.
