摘要: Abstract Definition of cerebral palsy (CP) has become more precise in recent years and, even if CP remains an umbrella term, a simple classification system for types been proposed. is the commonest motor impairment childhood. New validated scales gross and fine functions describe third children with as severely impaired. Children may also have associated impairments, other than motor, that deserve particular attention support at school work, which are responsible lower survival rates. The prevalence CP, 2 per 1000 children, remained remarkably stable over last 30 years, particularly term who represent half all CP. However, recently, consistent downward trend seen moderately very low birth weight children. Prevention measures still seems difficult to define since result multifactorial events. Decreasing multiple births specific health actions during early infancy impact. Followup programmes implemented assess how consequences best reduced.
